"Dont go wandering off..." hissed Roseheart to her three kits as she went off with Twigfire to hunt. Silverkit was hoping they would leave so he could go by thunderpath and check it out. He looked over at Honeyfoot, who was talking to Emberheart. With a quick look, he dashed past the cats into the woods. "What are you doing?" mouthed Turtlekit from the front of the nursery. Silverkit just ignored him and headed toward the sound of roaring monsters.

"Eew...whats that?" sniffed Silverkit. He was bending over a dull brown puddle that smelled foul. Cautiosly, he bent down to lick it, the foul smell seeped through his fur and through his nose. Before he could turn back, a huge monster flew by. Scared, he jumped back right into the puddle. His face smirred the liquid. Panic struck through his little body as he lifted his head. The whole side of his left face was covered in brown, gross, liquid. "Help me!" he squealed.

"What are you doing..." a hunting patrol could hear his cry for help and cae running. "Silverkit...get Cinderpelt, he fell in oil!" meowed Twigfire. (he was leading the patrol) "My kit!" yelped Roseheart while trying to wipe to oil off with her tail. "Move out of the way flea-bags." hissed Cinderpelt as she made her way over to Silverkit. With a quick glance at Roseheart she picked up Silverkit by the scruff and hauled him away back to camp.

Silverkit was sitting in the nursery when Blustar came in to check on him. "You gave your mother a scare." meowed Blustart sternly. "Well you can yell at me all you want, Cinderpelt said that I have to live with this brown mark on half my face." Silverkit let out a long sigh. Bluestar looked up at Cinderpelt, who shook her head. By the scruff, Bluestar took Silverkit to the highrock. "Let all cats old enough to catch there own prey, gather around Highrock for a clan meeting!" bellowed Bluestar. All the cats made there way to the clearing and sat dwn, ready to hear the news. "Due to the fact that Silverkit had fallen into a puddle of oil I will now name him Oilkit." Bluestar waited to hear the meow of surprise, but she heard nothing. Oilkit looked up at Bluestar but said nothing, instead he walked toward the nursery where he could get some rest...

  emberheart glanced over at the nursery where all the kits snuggled together. today, amberkit and sweetkit would become apprentices.as she heard bluestars yowl, she recalled the oil-incident. how could she have been so mousebrained! she saw oilkit sneaking out, but she didn't ant to neglect honeyfoot. she rushed over to the clearing, when she noticed autumnleaf and her kits come in. sweetkit bounced excitedly, while amberkit stood still. still emberheart could sense the excited waves flowing off amberkits fur. "...your new names will be amberpaw and sweetpaw. flicktail will mentor amberkit and mousefur will mentor sweetkit." emberheart glanced over at flicktail and amberkit. flicktail was brimming over with pride. as they touched noses, emberheart could just hear what flicktail was saying to amberkit: "we will train first, but after that, we are going to have SO much fun!" amberkit let out a shrill whistle. emberheart glanced over at mousefur and sweetkit. they touched noses respectfully.

  "hey cinderpelt!" "emberheart! is something wrong?" "no, but who does sweetkit remind you of?" cinderpelt licked her shoulder. "and who does amberkit remind you of?" emberherat smiled as she glanced towards her mate.
